How does it work?
Most churches mission statement does not start with the business of bookkeeping, payroll or government reporting. Church Bookkeeping's mission statement does - so why not let us, who specialize in it, do it for you.
Although we provide the same types of services that other bookkeepers may offer, WE ARE NOT like other bookkeepers. Our passion and desire is to help churches. We believe that churches are unique and have distinct needs. Because we all go to churches we understand this culture. Because we are Canadian, we know the requirements the Canadian government puts on churches.
We make the bookkeeping process simple and streamlined for you. We are a virtual company so you need not provide us with an office, computer or window! We bring all of that to the job already. You have a dedicated bookkeeper who works with your account as well as an account manager overseeing each transaction.
Payroll is done through our enhanced payroll service. In small churches where pastors are paid by manual cheque, pastors worry about if a cheque will be ready on payday if the treasurer is away on vacation. With our service payroll is directly deposited into the employee account on time. Most small churches can not afford this service because it is too expensive with one or 2 employees. We provide this service free of charge. Everyone deserves to be paid on time!
The church treasurer is not out of a "job" when you use our services. You still need a treasurer, but we provide support and resources for your treasurer while removing some of the pressure of the position. In addition, we help to bridge the gap as treasurers retire and new volunteers come on board.

- Your administrative person will scan source documents through a secure connection that we provide to our office. The data is then processed by our team of experts - and this is where we provide you with the added oversight benefit. We review submitted expenses to ensure that it is onside with CRA. We are experts in this area, offering help and advice so you stay onside with CRA and take the worry out of an audit.
- After approval we then pay the vendor. Your bills and expenses get paid on time, regardless of who is away from church.
